Day 6

A lot of the titular characters in these stories are not good people. This one plays his fiddle to summon a companion for his walk through the woods. Then gets upset when he attracts a wolf, fox, and rabbit. I get not trysting the wolf, but what’s a fox going to do? In the end, he attracts a lumberjack who scares away the angry wolf, fox, and rabbit who have escaped the terrible traps the fiddler put them in.

The moral: people are mean & you won’t get recompense, or it’s ok to be a jerk as long as you’re a lucky jerk.
